All is now set for Chukwuemeka Ikemefuna Emembolu (-MB SHAFT-) Solo Arts Exhibition at Kachi James Gallery slated for Thursday, MARCH 23rd – to the month of MAY 2024 in Enugu, the Enugu State capital.

In a statement signed by Kachi Aghasili the curator made available to journalists in Enugu on Monday, all art enthusiasts in and around the city of Enugu are expected to come and experience the brilliance of ‘Ije Nwoke,’ the solo exhibition at Kachi James Gallery showcasing the visionary works of Chukwuemeka Ikemefuna Emembolu (-MB SHAFT-).
Chukwuemeka Ikemefuna Emembolu (mb-shaft) hails from Onitsha Isiokwe inland town.
Emembolu who is married with three children, said his potentials is yet untapped, stressing, “The deep calls the deep and iron sharpens iron. In Almighty GOD I trust.
“I am a graduate of IMT Enugu majored in Painting HND Fine and Applied Art. My project in the school made a distinction that was a propeller and the beginning of my pattern design base on Igbo traditional design. My paintings is an impression, with a style called impasto.
“I lavish colors without reservation. The colors which are mixed to get tertiary colors are not blended on the canvas but applied whereby tonal graduation is a pure guidance to mix colors on the pallet applied with pallet knives to archive an illusion.
“I am an IMPRESSIONIST (both in pattern design and painting) my works adore many homes here in Nigeria and abroad. A true painter are guided by colors and IMAGINATION.”, he said.
According to the statement from the gallery , the exhibition starts with an exclusive private viewing commencing on March 21, 2024 before the opening ceremony fixed for March 23, that will be made open for the public.
“The art exhibition is well crafted to help you immerse into Ije Nwoke – the story of the African Man. You also get to mingle with other esteemed members of the art community and engage in thought-provoking discussions with the artist himself.

Aghasili, the founder of the gallery told newsmen that she was driven by her passion for arts and intellectual property, pointing out that she established the gallery with the aim of showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo people and providing a platform for art talents to thrive.
When asked about her choice of Enugu as the location for the gallery, Aghasili explained that the state boasts a remarkable blend of arts and history, making it an ideal setting for her venture.
“We want to give artists the opportunity to be seen, heard, and discovered,” she stated.
The Kachi James Art Gallery stands as a testament to the passion and dedication of Kachi Aghasili, who has brought her dream to fruition.
