(ADVERTORIAL) Government Appointees Must Stop Intimidating Our Leader Else We Shall Protest- Igbo Kwenu 4 Asiwaju/Shettima warns

Our attention has been drawn to a malicious campaign of calumny against our Principal in her capacity as Federal Character Commissioner representing Enugu State in the Federal Character Commission. This campaign is being spearheaded by a faceless group known as the Nigerian Citizens Action Group (NCAG).

In their publication, the group attempted to fabricate a non-existent Certificate forgery case to rope in our Principal. This malicious scheme is part of a grand plan by certain people within the FCC and Enugu State whose aim is to malign the reputation of our hardworking and amiable Principal/Leader for her unwavering commitment to integrity.

These baseless allegations have attracted the response of our Principal who has discredited all the fictitious claims made by the FCC Chairman. We put it on record that the entire Executives and Members of Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative stand firmly in support of our Principal and adopt her response wholly as articulated in her press statement. Therefore, we caution all detractors to refrain from spreading falsehoods in an attempt to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of our Principal.

It should be noted by all men of conscience that the smear campaign against our Leader and Principal clearly originated from the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Muheeba Farida Dankaka, and the affiliates of the Minister for Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, who perceives our Global President as a threat within the Enugu APC without any justifiable reason and have consistently sponsored and incited their supporters, including his boy the failed APC Chairman of Enugu State, Ugo Agballah, to intimidate her using faceless groups, sponsoring publications on social media platforms like WhatsApp, etc.

We recollect an incident where the FCC Chairman was horrendously exposed by the House of Representatives, for job racketeering, during a Public Hearing on National Television. Subsequently, instead of focusing her attention to her self inflicted malaise she has resorted to attacking our President regarding her academic credentials. This clearly shows that her motive is to divert attention of the unsuspecting public to the real malfeasance at the FCC by attacking our President who is a woman of integrity.

It must be noted that the FCC Chairman has never obliged our President with any job opportunities, not even one, but rather chooses to divert attention by unfairly profiling our President. In the same vein the supporters of Hon Uche Nnaji have latched on to a spurious and baseless allegation orchestrated by the FCC Chairman to be hurling invectives on our President. When we contemplated retaliating, our Principal advised us to remain composed, which we adhered to, and the situation eventually subsided. (Evidence of all WhatsApp harassment is available).

It will be recalled that during the Presidential elections, we advised our Principal against travelling to her hometown due to her prominent role in vigorously campaigning for President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, because she will be targeted by opposition elements. Despite our warnings, our Principal disregarded them and travelled to mobilise support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

While in Enugu State she engaged in community-to-community mobilisation, imploring her constituents to rally behind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Before leaving Enugu Town for her village, she met with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 82 Division, to intimate him of her involvement in the Presidential Campaign and requested for security protection. However, upon reviewing the Federal Character Commissioner’s file, the GOC discovered that the FCC Chairman had earlier written a letter alleging that our principal has been making illegal visits to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and security agencies.

Consequently, the GOC refused to accede to our Principal’s request. Despite this, our Principal, Hon. Ginika Tor returned to her hometown to mobilise support and cast her vote for President Tinubu. We vividly recall her message in our group chat, concluding with “if I perish, I perish, all die na die.’ She affirmed, ‘I have always served my people well, even if a Priest has influenced and threatened my constituents not to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, they will not deter me.’ She has always remained dogged in her commitment to support President Bola Tinubu.

We recall a time when our group, the Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative (IGBO KWENU 4 ASIWAJU/SHETTIMA), the prime Leading Igbo group advocating for Asiwaju across the 36 States, the Federal Capital Territory, and the diaspora, travelled to Sabon Gari, Kano, to engage with our Igbo community and our principal reached out to the FCC Chairman, to inform her of our scheduled trip to Kano to mobilise support for then candidate Asiwaju Tinubu/Shetima and request for support for accommodation, given that her husband hails from the region.

However, the FCC Chairman discouraged our Principal from embarking on the trip citing concerns that she was too visible. Despite these discouraging remarks, our Principal proceeded with the campaign tour of North West (Kano) and North East (Yobe) to drum up support for President Tinubu at a time when many government officials were scared of openly declaring support for President Tinubu.

Yet, it is clear that the same FCC Chairman that did everything to discourage our Principal from mobilising support for President TInubu is the same person that now has the audacity to disparage our Principal who worked tirelessly to mobilise support for President Tinubu/Shettima across the 36 States, FCT and diaspora.

Our trip to Kano and Yobe was made easy by the benevolence of the then Director-General of KAROTA, Hon Baffa Baba, who catered for our accommodation while we financed the other expenses ourselves. Hon Baffa Baba also provided transportation in the form of a bus and a Hilux van with security to facilitate our journey to Yobe for the North East Tour and back to Kano. He ensured our safe passage to the Airport in Kano and back to Abuja.

It was during our time in Yobe that our Principal, Hon. Ginika Tor, encountered a severe case of food poisoning which nearly took her life. Through divine grace and the timely intervention of a Medical Doctor, she gradually recovered by the following morning and we proceeded back to Kano. Despite these sacrifices and self-sponsored campaign efforts for the Government of President Tinubu, our Principal’s reward thus far is to be burdened by a grossly incompetent and dubious FCC Chairman who did not even believe in the President Tinubu project.

We have uncovered a plot by FCC Chairman, Muheeba Dankaka’s co-conspirator, Hon. Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Science and Technology, grand plan to suppress our Principal, Hon. Ginika Tor, in order to secure his dominance within the Enugu APC. The Minister has found a willing collaborator in FCC Chairman, Muheeba Farida Dankaka, to orchestrate a campaign of calumny and persecution. It remains unclear whether Uche Nnaji is scared of our Principal, Hon Mrs Ginika Tor, and feels that she poses a threat to his tenure in President Tinubu’s cabinet.

It is worthy of note that Hon. Uche Nnaji, who did not endorse nor openly canvass support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election but has been foisted on Enugu people, has alienated key APC stakeholders in Enugu through disrespectful conduct, particularly during his Governorship candidacy outings.

It is on record that our Principal/Leader, Chief Mrs. Ginika Tor, steadfastly championed President Tinubu’s mandate openly and across various major media platforms, while Hon Uche Nnaji failed to demonstrate similar support. Our Principal traversed the country on a self-funded tour with support from OPI group members, garnering widespread commendation. In contrast, Uche Nnaji did not engage in such advocacy.

Our Principal openly campaigned, mobilised and voted for President Tinubu at her polling unit, yet Uche Nnaji did not exhibit similar allegiance. This raises questions about the justification for his appointment as the Minister from Enugu State in the first place.

Our Principal has always urged us to show respect to President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Uche Nnaji as the Minister from Enugu State. She did not challenge this decision nor allow us to protest against it when we attempted to.

However, Uche Nnaji, who failed to include President Tinubu’s photograph on his campaign posters and materials or even mention him in his speeches during his Gubernatorial campaign tours, continues to engage in a smear campaign against our Global President, Hon. Amb. Chief. Mrs. Ginika Tor. We can no longer tolerate this behaviour!

We want to make it abundantly clear that Uche Nnaji’s political approach is characterised by deceit and manipulation. This strategy is at variance with the style of our Principal who is magnanimous and approachable. We are all aware that from the outset Uche Nnaji was not genuinely vying for the Governorship of Enugu State. It is puzzling how someone aspiring to win a Gubernatorial election could neglect House of Assembly candidates even after the party had provided funds for that purpose.

Furthermore, Uche Nnaji resorted to insulting party stakeholders, including prominent figures such as former President of the Senate, Sen. Ken Nnamani, immediate past Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; former Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Sullivan Chime; Gbazuagu Nweke Gbazuagu (GNG); former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ozor Joe Mmamel; one-time Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Eugene Odoh; one-time APC Gubernatorial Aspirant, Barr. Ifeanyi Nwoga; Sen. Ayogu Eze; Barr. Barth Ugwoke; Federal Commissioner Representing Southeast at the Police Service Commission; SA to the former President on Justice Reforms, Hon. Juliet Ibekaku; Hon. Onyemauche Nnamani; Dr. Ben Eche (Gubernatorial Aspirant); Augustine Akubue (Gubernatorial Aspirant); Hon. Val Nnadozie (Former Gubernatorial Candidate); Hon. Barr. Ben Nwoye (Former APC Chairman); former Nigerian Ambassador to Poland, Gen. Ugwu Sunday; former DG of VON, Mr. Osita Okechukwu; former BOT Member Gen. J.O.J Okoloagu; member Representing Enugu at the National Population Commission, Hon. Ejike Eze, Former Chairman of the Board of NITT, Hon. Ejike Njeze; Hon. Nelson Maduka (Mama); APC House of Representatives Candidate for 2023 Dr. Oby Ajir (The Female Jagaban of Enugu State); Hon. Chief Benson Eze, Pioneer Chairman of Chairmen for 8 years; Barr. Kate Nnamani; Engr. Ikechukwu Ugwuegede; Hon. Sam Ekwueme, APC House of Representatives Candidate for 2023; former Southeast Organizing Secretary Timothy Amah; Hon. El Ajah; our Principal, Hon. Ginika Tor, and others.

Uche Nnaji and Ugo Agballah were imposed on the people of Enugu State without prior affiliation to the APC, leading to the erosion of the APC fabric in Enugu State.

Let it be on record that Uche Nnaji may deceive individuals and government to secure a ministerial position, but he should prioritise his role as Minister of Science and Technology to advance the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Instead, he engages in sponsoring individuals like his associate, Ugo Agballah, to perpetually insult and harass our Principal/Global President on social media platforms while collaborating with Muheeba Dankaka to oppose her. We are aware that while our Principal and four Federal Commissioners were engaging with the Police, the FCC Chairman Muheeba Dankaka went to visit Uche Nnaji to discuss our Principal.

We have remained silent for too long. The recent effort orchestrated by them to tarnish our Principal’s hard-earned reputation is one too many. Silence is no longer an option; it is time we take the mantle of combat and confront them directly. Evil actions must not go unchecked.

Quite recently, our Principal was appointed by President Tinubu, through the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, as a Member of the Presidential Committee on the Review of Boards of Agencies, Parastatals, and Government-Owned Enterprises. This recognition by the President was profoundly meaningful to us, providing a sense of honour.

Concurrently, Uche Nnaji was appointed as Minister despite not deserving of the position casting a shadow on our sense of belonging. Despite this, our Principal and her team persevered while facing adversity orchestrated by Uche Nnaji and his allies, utilising his access to the Villa to undermine our Principal, although she consistently advised us to remain calm.

We wish to reiterate here that the family of Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative in Nigeria and Diaspora with strength of 5,000 are solidly behind our Principal and Leader who sacrificed her resources and time to galvanise support for the Presidency of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu/Shettima when it was convenient to look the other way.

Therefore, despite that she or members of our group are yet to be rewarded, for her/our selfless contributions to the emergence of President Tinubu, we do advice the functionaries of government saddled with delivering on the Renewed Hope agenda to face their responsibilities with decorum and stop chasing shadows and engaging in diversionary tactics of smearing the reputation of a strong supporter of President Tinubu.

Our Global President/Leader may lack a powerful godfather, which may have necessitated these spurious attacks on her person, but please be assured that we the undersigned and many others in OPI are proud to recognize her as a charismatic and commendable godmother, and we are resolute in confronting any conspiracies aimed at her. Enough is enough!

Signed
Chief Sir. Emma Ogbonna, Ph.D
Secretary General

  1. There is no smear campaign against Mrs Ginika Tor, she should go & clear herself that she is not using a fake certificate or she should resign from her appointment for using a fake certificate.

  2. DELUSION IS A MENTAL STATE OF PSYCHIATRIC ILLNESS

This woman has no shame at all. She is a pre-nursery school holder, and it’s not even clear if she finishes nursery school.

Perhaps she thinks this is one of Benue’s markets where people like her sell oranges and snails.

A woman who went stark naked for mere lucre. The only Federal Character Commission who couldn’t provide a single job for the people of Enugu state, whom she claims to represent, let alone her Omaluegwu zombies. A stark illiterate who couldn’t pass bar exams and has a Waec forgery case with the police. Asking people to raise 250k each for her birthday of 9 months away.

    My question here is:
    – who even nominated you, knowing about your limited educational background (unqualified), at the expense of highly qualified individuals?

    – How could such a person comprehend the essence of politics, which is service to the people?

Name just 2 persons from Enugu that you gave a slot to, and better clear yourself with the police and your chairperson regarding your Waec result forgery. Stop disgracing the people of Enugu and APC in general, Jare.
