Ahead of November 8 Governorship election in Anambra State, Ebonyi State dwelling in Anambra State under the aegis of Ebonyi State Solution Marshal has declared that they would not only work to ensure Soludo’s victory but as well as vote for him and protect their votes
The group made the assertion during the transporters Solidarity support campaign rally for Soludo’s second term which was held at Chuba Ikpazu Stadium, Onitsha North local government area of Anambra State.
They, however, unanimously pledged their support to Soludo who they described as their brother, saying that he has been kind to Ndi Ebonyi who are residence in Anambra State since the inception of his administration in the State.
According to them, this Ebonyi State Solution Marshal is a platform we established in other to organize ourselves especially to ensure we give Soludo our block votes on November 8 gubernatorial election. What you are seeing here is only Ebonyi State Solution Marshal who will be in charge of protecting our votes on the election day. We have coordinators across 21 local government in Anambra.
In an interview with newsmen, the President-General of Ebonyi State Solution Marshal, Chief Chukwuma Otubelu affirmed that the essence of his people in setting up Solution Marshal is to enable them work for Soludo’s victory and defend their votes during the election.
He attributed massive support to Soludo by Ebonyi State indigenes in Anambra to the Soludo’s level of magnanimity to Ndi Ebonyi State, assuring that only population of Ndi Ebonyi in Anambra would secure victory for Soludo.
“We have over 2,000 members here in Onitsha and we have informed all our people who are residing in the various rural areas across Anambra State to keep their permanent voters card ( PVC) ready for Soludo on the election day” Said Otubelu.
“We have benefited immensely from Soludo’s leadership. He returned Abakiliki street at Awka State capital. He started his first projects at Okpoko Community where our people are densely populated, and they are also benefiting from free Antenatal, enjoy good roads and other social amenities in the area. Most aspect of Soludo’s love to we Ebonyians is that he made our brother Monday Nwokoye to head Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA). We pray that Soludo will rule Nigeria after his second tenure as the Governor of Anambra State” Otubelu declared.
Similarly, the director of State Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA), Monday Nwokoye added that the people of Ebonyi State living in Anambra State are not competing with anyone as it concerned Soludo’s re-election.
He, however, stated that Soludo is indigene of Anambra State but was brought up in Ebonyi State, contending that he has dual citizenship as well as a brother to Ndi Ebonyi State
Nwokoye who is indigene of Ebonyi State reaffirmed that the duty of Ebonyi State Solution Marshal is to guide the votes of Ndi Ebonyi State during the election, emphasizing that Ebonyi State constitutes 40% population of Anambra State.
“Soludo is so workaholic (Oluatuegwu) and that is why we are supporting him. Our people are greatest beneficiaries mostly in Child delivery. Soludo’s is a real solution to Anambra and we Ebonyians are solidly behind him” Nwokoye added.
The deputy President-general of Ebonyi State Solution Marshal, Mr. Benjamin Okoro described Monday Nwokoye as a man of integrity, saying that with him as the director of Special Anti-Touting Squad SASA, Ebonyi State votes would be well secured.
