Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State came to a standstill as the governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Sir Paul Chukwuma, stormed Omor with his deputy, Uzu Okagbue, for a campaign rally.
The rally drew a large crowd and had in attendance prominent figures including Hon. Henry Mbachu, member representing Awka South 1 constituency; Hon. Bernard Udemezue, member representing Ayamelum constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly; Chief John Okigbo, Chief Jude Osude, Chief Ralph Okeke, Mrs. Ifeoma Onwudiwe, and other members of the Paul Chukwuma Campaign Team.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Udemezue pledged his unwavering support to ensure Chukwuma’s victory at the November 8 polls. “Ayamelum is fully behind you, and I will work tirelessly to make sure you emerge victorious,” he assured.
Hon. Mbachu, in his remarks, described Chukwuma as a man of proven capacity, noting that his sound academic background, combined with his character and track record of service, made him the right choice for the state.
In his own speech, Sir Paul Chukwuma reaffirmed his commitment to restore confidence in governance and return Anambra to its people. He outlined his agenda, anchored on human capital development, infrastructure renewal, and security, which he said would serve as the pillars of his administration if elected.
