The atmosphere was filled with glamour and celebration as Dr. Frank Odinaka Igbojindu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Akpoazaa Group, marked his 40th birthday in Awka, Anambra State.
The milestone event, which blended festivity with reflection, highlighted his achievements, including a decade of business growth and his recent attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Accountancy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka.
Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Igbojindu described turning 40 as a profound moment, symbolizing resilience, challenges overcome, and the grace that has shaped his path.
Growing up in Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area, he recalled the hardships of his early years, where survival was a daily struggle and opportunities seemed distant. However, through perseverance and divine grace, he transformed adversity into success.
At the heart of his celebration was his commitment to education and youth empowerment through the Akpoazaa Foundation. Over the past decade, the foundation has impacted over 3,000 students through its Best Brain Quiz Contest and awarded scholarships to more than 100 students across various academic levels.
Looking ahead, it has partnered with De Imperial Philanthropic Family to extend educational support to over 1,000 indigent students, covering their studies up to the university level.
“Education is the best way to store wealth,” Dr. Igbojindu stated, urging affluent individuals to invest in young people’s education.
“Support for education is support for a better future and an ideal life,” he emphasized, countering the notion that education is a scam.
He believes education is a key solution to personal and societal challenges, driving national development.
To mark his 40th birthday, Dr. Igbojindu announced the launch of the Akpoazaa Media Factory, an initiative set to equip 1,000 youths with media industry skills.
Additionally, the foundation will cover school fees, JAMB, and WAEC fees for 1,000 indigent students.
Plans are also underway to host a Southeast University Quiz Competition and a Best Brain Competition to honor top graduates from Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Reaffirming the foundation’s mission, Dr. Igbojindu called on well-meaning individuals and organizations to support its efforts in creating a better future for Nigerian youth.
“At Akpoazaa Foundation, we believe education is the ticket to a brighter future. Together, we can change lives,” he concluded.
