Sir Paul Chukwuma, a leading governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, has commended Vice President Kashim Shettima and Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, for their commitment to infrastructural development in Borno State.
Chukwuma made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Vice President Shettima at his residence in Maiduguri, Borno State. The APC candidate described Shettima as a longstanding friend and political ally, expressing admiration for his contributions to the state’s progress during his tenure as governor.
Speaking after the visit, Chukwuma lauded both leaders for their efforts in transforming Maiduguri through significant infrastructural advancements and maintaining the city’s cleanliness.
“The Vice President, His Excellency Alhaji Kashim Shettima, who served as a two-term governor of this state, provided a solid governance template. He built on the foundations laid by his predecessors. Similarly, Governor Babagana Zulum has continued this legacy, deepening development for the people of Borno State,” Chukwuma stated.
He further praised the duo for their dedication to improving the lives of Borno residents, emphasizing the importance of sustainable governance.
On the Nigeria Governors’ Forum’s recent support for the presidential tax reforms, Chukwuma applauded the decision, describing it as a patriotic move.
“I commend the NGF for supporting the presidential tax reforms. This is a bold and necessary step toward building an efficient governance system in Nigeria,” he said.
Chukwuma concluded by reaffirming his confidence in the ongoing efforts of Shettima and Zulum, describing them as models of effective leadership in the country.
