The former All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Party candidate for Ogbaru Federal House of Representatives in 2023 Nigerian general election, Hon. Sir. Arinzechukwu Awogu has called on the National leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) Party to throw weight in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
Hon. Awogu who is currently the National coordinator of Ikemba Front, a political grassroot movement in Anambra State categorically Stated that APC Party at the National level should intervene in what he said is happening in Anambra State as regards journey towards 2025 gubernatorial election.
Hon. Awogu who doubles as the former National coordinator of Soludo Support Group (SSG) made the call at Atani, the headquarters of Ogbaru local government area of the state during the inauguration of Ikemba Front Atani ward one polling units executives and it’s mega rally.
” Today, we saying it to the hearing of entire humanity and particularly Aso Rock, that the whole old APGA members have joined APC as represented by us here and number of others who are also part of APC movement. So, we are saying it categorically clear that APC at the National level should throw weight in what is happening in Anambra State as it regards journey towards 2025 gubernatorial election”
” As soon as we are done with the primary and the right person is handed the flag of our great Party, then we will match to Agu-Awka and nothing would stopping APC because this is our time, this is our era, this is our period and nothing is stopping APC” Said Hon. Awogu.
He said there is different between the old APGA party and present APGA party, stating that when they talk about APGA being a shadow of itself, many might not understand.
” We want particularly those in ASO Rock Villa and the National leadership of APC to realize this fact that we made the APGA of old . We that are here now in APC today made the APGA of old and I can tell us that what we have today as APGA is mere Solution and Solution has nothing to do with our internal father. Our internal father is Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu”
” The Governor under the present APGA has disrespected Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. He told us that he won election based on the strength of his popularity not on the basis of the Party, denying us our own internal leader late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu”
Hon. Awogu further buttressed his points by presenting APGA Party ragalis showing the different between old APGA Party pictures and present APGA party pictures and how the image of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was completely erased, reiterating that APGA party now is mere Solution which according to him has nothing to do with APGA party.
