We Are Happy with What You Are Doing, Ex-Council Chairmen Laud Dr. Ibenaku Onoh’s Leadership Qualities

Stakeholders in Enugu North Local Government Area, under the aegis of the Forum of Former Local Government Chairmen in Enugu North Local Government Area of Enugu State, have commended the council chairman, Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, for the strides he has made since assuming office.

The former council chairmen, who come from different political parties, made the commendations known on Monday when they paid a courtesy call to Dr. Ibenaku Onoh at Enugu North Local Government Secretariat, Ọkpara Avenue, Enugu.

Speaking during the visit, a former chairman, Hon. Emeka Edeh, noted that Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, through his policies and actions, has given them confidence that his administration will thrive. He pointed out that activities such as the decongestion of Ogbete, Holy Ghost, Old Park, and New Market areas—achieved through collaboration with security agencies, market leaders, road transport leaders, and other stakeholders—have eased movement for residents in those areas.

He also highlighted that the cleanliness of the council’s secretariat is a sign of better things to come.

In his remarks, Hon. Emma Onoh described Dr. Onoh as a global leader of the 21st century and a unifier, whose approach promises to establish a long-lasting legacy and build upon the progress made by his predecessors, adding that the Forum would continue to extend its support as needed.

According to reports, the Forum also praised the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his continued development efforts in the state, from which the council has benefited significantly.

They reiterated their commitment to offering Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh the support needed for their continued success.

In response to the visit and advice, Dr. Onoh expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from the group, starting from the primaries to the present. He stated that his administration has already curated programs aimed at improving security, health, education, and infrastructure, aligning with the visions of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Dr. Onoh also urged the former chairmen to continue their support for the Governor and his administration.

Some of the former council chairmen present at the visit include: Hon. Gabriel Onoh, Hon. Charles Ayalogu, Hon. Ben Onyia, Hon. Emma Ngwu, Hon. Emmanuel Onoh, Hon. Herbert Oji, Hon. Emeka Edeh, Hon. Emma Ngwu and Hon. Emeka Onunze. They all spoke on the unity and sense of togetherness that Dr. Onoh has fostered, emphasizing that his ability to bring people together, regardless of their political affiliations, has created a positive atmosphere in the council. They acknowledged that this spirit of inclusiveness is key to ensuring progress and development for the entire Enugu North Local Government Area.
