In his continuation to propagate the developmental strides of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in Anambra State, the National convener of Soludo Support Group (SSG), Chief Chinedu Nwoye, has successfully inaugurated SSG in Ogbaru Main Market, near Onitsha, Anambra State.
The event took place at the Market praying arena and featured flagging off the “You Need To Know” campaign which began with Holy Eucharistic presided by the Parish vicar of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church New Haven, Rev. Fr. Eusebius Okpala.
Delivering his homily titled ” God’s Time Is The Best”, Fr. Okpala admonished the people of God to wait upon God’s time.
He emphasized that Satan doesn’t attract blessing, reiterating that people of God should wait for the appointed God’s time, pointing out that there is hour of suffering and hour of glorification.
Addressing Ogbaru Main Market traders, Chief Nwoye who is the deputy Chief of staff and Chief protocol officer to Professor Charles Soludo expressed his satisfaction for the overwhelming support by the Ogbaru Main Market traders.
He commiserated with the traders over the demise of their Board of Trustees ( BOT) Chairman, Chief Sam Mendu, just as he reminded them that SSG had been working with their Chairman, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu since 2019 till date.
He further eulogized traders for their support and explained that his purpose of visiting them was to inaugurate SSG and put record straight against fake news by enemies of Anambra State which according to him had been peddling about developmental strides of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Among some projects which he mentioned as the achievements of Professor Charles Soludo in 24-months included; construction of roads, free Antenatal and delivery services, free education, employment of over 8,000 teachers, Solar lights, Security tight, Hospitals amongst others.
Fielding questions from newsmen, Glamour as he fondly called said, ” We are here at Ogbaru Main Market to inaugurate SSG and it was a huge success and we also flagged off the ” You Need To Know” campaign. You Need To Know is a process by which we designed to make people to be well informed about good Governance and developmental strides of Professor Charles Soludo”
” We have noticed that enemies of Anambra State have continued to peddle fake news about what we are doing in the State. So, we have decided to make people well informed. We prepared 8,000 flyers but we came with 2,000 to educate people about what the Governor is doing in the State just in 24-months. So, why do we choose Market, Churches and Communities?”
” Market is like a converging center where people meet. Some came from Okpoko, Awada, Nsugbe, Agbaka and so many places. So, whatever information they get, they will also disseminate the information to their various towns and villages.
“We want people to be well informed because the Bible said that my people perish due to lack of knowledge. We are not campaigning, what we are doing is only for people to know what the Governor has done in Anambra State and what he will do” Glamour concluded.
Appreciating Nwoye and his entourage, the Market Chairman, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu expressed gratitude to God for the successful Inauguration of SSG in the Market, informing Chief Nwoye that their Board of Trustees ( BOT) Chairman, Chief Sam Mendu died and because of that, they did not expand the scope the event higher.
Reacting to the interview, Chief Ochiogu affirmed that SSG inauguration in Ogbaru Main Market was unique, stating that all traders in the Market are APGA loyalists.
He noted that he introduced SSG and made it popular in the Market since 2019 even when he has not become the Market Chairman.
” Ogbaru Main Market was the first Market that had been propagating the message of SSG and that is why you see everyone in SSG regalia both the old and new uniforms. There is no way my followers should join another party since I remain the Chairman of the Market. I am a full stakeholder of APGA party in Ogbaru Local government and Ogbaru Main Market and you can see the signs of it in all nooks and crannies in the Market”
” If APGA party is not doing well, I will say it. I was the only Market Chairman who mounted campaign billboard of Professor Soludo in 2021 when everywhere was in total disarray. What APC party is doing is kangaroo meeting which I know they will fail.
“Nobody has capacity to campaign for any other party in this Market except APGA party. I am the Ogbaru zonal Market leader of other Market Chairmen in Ogbaru Local government and all of them are under me” Said Ochiogu.
