The Anambra State chapter of Civil Liberty Organization ( CLO) has hailed a member representing Onitsha South 2 in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Ifeanyichukwu Umennajiego for his initiative and commitments on providing the needed dividends of democracy to his constituency.
The group however poured encomium to the law maker for his ability to embark on fumigation exercise in the entire Odoakpu Community in order to eradicate the menace of mosquito bites that causes malaria and other sickness which could cause death as well.
In a statement which was signed by its Chairman, Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme and Secretary Comrade Chidi Mbah and made available to newsmen, they recalled that no legislator since the inception of the current political dispensation has done such a life saving project.
They also tagged the statement, ” Let us use our position for the betterment of the society”, just as they appreciated the virtues of the law maker for being active in his responsibilities most especially in holding thank you meeting with his constituency, weekly constituency meetings to ascertain their challenges and impact government policies and programs as well as get feedback from them.
” We appeal to the distinguished legislator, Hon. Umennajiego Esq to sustain the tempo and his laudable project so that other legislators and public office holders should emulate him. According to John Holmes, he said, ” The only good motive in life is the motive of doing good for one’s country and her citizens’ ‘ Said the group.
According to the activists, Hon. Umennajiego is operating an open door policy and always attends to the needs of indigenous ones in his constituency and still render free legal services both outside and within his constituency.
