South East youths knock Uche Nnaji for opposing Ben Nwoye’s appointment

The Tinubu/Shettima South East youth Movement has lashed out at the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji for standing against the appointment of Dr Ben Nwoye as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Ali Burkar Dalori.

Rising from an emergency meeting at Nike Lake Hotel in Enugu on Friday, the Director General of the group, Chief Chukwuemeka ANIKE O urged Dalori to ignore the vituperations of Chief Nnaji.

The group which alleged that Nnaji was surreptitiously trying to seize control of the All Progressives Congress in Enugu State, advised President Bola Tinubu to cushion him because he is now an enemy of the state.

“We the Tinubu/Shettima South East Youth Movement are calling on Alhaji Ali Burkar Dalori, the Deputy National Chairman of the APC to pay deaf ears to Uche Nnaji’s demands on the appointment of Dr Ben Nwaoye as your Chief of Staff.

”Dr Ben Nwoye who worked tirelessly for this present administration and who bought (Siena) buses and branded it with a picture of Mr President. Dr Ben Nwoye is a grassroot politician. He is equally the first Chairman of the party in Enugu state. In 2013 he sponsored the party with his own money.

“Ben Nwoye has contested the Enugu East Senatorial Zone election. Where was Uche Nnaji then and when did he join this party? Uche Nnaji never campaigned for Tinubu nor won his pulling unit even as a guber candidate.

“Now Uche Nnaji believes that Gov Hope Uzodimma, who made him a minister will equally make him a leader of the state overnight.”

The group also called on President Tinubu to appoint more persons from the Southeast into his Government.

“Somebody like Amb Ginika Tor who campaigned round the Eastern parts and also won her polling unit in Enugu state.

“We therefore call on Mr President cushion Uche Nnaji because he is an enemy of the state and doesn’t deserve to be a leader. We say no more monkey dey work baboon dey chop.”
