The member representing Anambra East and West Federal constituency, Hon. Peter Udogala Anekwe felicitated with the Muslim faithful on their festival of commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Hon. Anekwe in his congratulatory message which was signed by his Chief press Secretary ( CPS), Mr. Odikpo Udaegbe and made available to newsmen, he urged the Muslims to emulate and uphold the virtues of the Prophet Muhammad.
He appreciated the fine qualities of Prophet Muhammad and His teachings, saying that He is peace-loving, emphasizing that if all His teachings were religiously followed, the world would have be an enjoyable place.
Macpee Milinaliugwu as he fondly called extensively underscored the need for global peace and passionately called for peaceful co- existence among Nigerians, noting that it was only peace and genuine love that has the capacity to engender optimal lasting peace and unity in the country.
” May the joy of the celebration increase our love for one another, heal and restore our land and may we in one accord resolve to work for the country and humanity. May Allah grant Nigeria the divine knowledge to bear the fruits of peace, honesty, discipline and sacrifice which are the Virtue qualities of Prophet Muhammad and the foundation of his teachings”
The lawmaker therefore, advised Nigerians to always remember the less privileged in their midst and extend succure to them especially in a time of economic hardship like the country is passing through.
According to him, ” We are all aware of the unprecedented hardship which Nigerians are presently going through, but I do believe that God almighty will come to our rescue one day. God will soon hear the daily prayers of the Nation,” he concluded.
He also lamented the incessant insecurity situation in Nigeria which he said is the major challenges rocking the nation, urging the Federal Government to urgently seek for everlasting solution.
