Obosi Spare Parts Dealers Observe Monday Prayer, Sanitation Exercise

Traders at Old Motor Car Spare Part market, popularly known as Mgbuka Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, yesterday, trooped out en masse for Mondays prayer and sanitation exercise.

Recall that the Anambra State Government has ordered traders to conduct prayers and observe sanitation in their respective Markets as well as open their shops every Monday and commence business activities.

Meanwhile, our correspondent gathered that the Mondays prayer rally in the Market was witnessed by the President-General of Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) Chief Humphrey Anuna and his lieutenants.

Preaching during the prayer, the Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) Prayer coordinator, Pastor Jeremiah Eze disclosed that the essence of Monday Market prayer is for God to touch the heart of those who are detaining Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to release him.

He added that the power of God through the traders prayer would shatter Aso Rock and break hands who are holding Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and set him free.

Pastor Eze in his message which he tilted ” The Lights of God Must Shine” prayed that Mgbuka Obosi Market shall experience the lights of God and transformation, saying that every hands that are holding their blessings would be broken.

He equally prayed fervently for the protection and progress of the Market Executives, Governor Soludo and leadership of ASMATA.

Commenting, the President-General of ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna in a special way praised the Chairman of Mgbuka Obosi for his brilliant coordination.

He said, “I am impressed with what I witnessed and I am also glad to see resourceful men here. This shows that the Chairman of this Market is leading well and living in harmony with traders”

Well, the level of compliance is quite commendable and I must praise the leadership of the Market. God almighty knows that we are praying for the release of our brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is in detention. I will tell you that the Governor is also aware that we are here today praying for our brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu” 

He noted that Mgbuka Obosi is a miracle Market, stating that it is only Market where one would survive from nothing to something, even as he urged them to always embrace God through prayer.

Onwa ora-eri as he fondly called reminded traders that weekly Prayer and sanitation is very critical which he said State Government would not condone any Market who failed to comply with the directive.

He further reiterated that Solution Market Okpoko is cheap and affordable, urging traders to go there and secure one shop, just as he advised the Market Chairman to create enabling space in the Market.

In his appreciation speech, the Market Chairman, Chief Efurunwa Ejike Samuel lauded the ASMATA Executives for their visit, saying that their visit is a huge encouragement to them.

He said, “Monday Prayer is quite commendable. If you watch, Mgbuka Obosi traders open their shops for business every Monday. If you come to Mgbuka  every Monday, from gate to inside the Market opens and  people would be offloading their wares”

Prayers are for the release of our brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and after prayer, we do sanitation and open our shops. I have severally announced that traders should come out on Mondays and open their shops and if you have watched crowd today, people came out en mass to open their shops for the progress of our state”

So, our Governor is doing great for our state and we Mgbuka Obosi Market are solidly behind him and I advise other Markets in the state to open their shops every Monday because this Sit-at-home Mondays have paralyzed our businesses and chased away our customers to other states” Said Ifurunwa.

Also at, Electrical Dealers Association Obosi, traders were equally sighted conducting prayer which they later embarked to sanitation.

The Secretary-General  of the Market, Mr. Chinedu Ezeibe stated that they started all the exercise by 8:30am, praising ASMATA leadership for their cordial relationship with traders and eulogizing Governor Soludo for restoring security in the state.
