150 indigent Anambra students benefit as NASS member floats scholarship scheme

No fewer than 150 indigents primary and post primary students have been placed on scholarship by a member of House of Representatives representing Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, Right Hon. Engr. Idu Emeka, Godwin Obianulu, to assist them in their educational pursuit.

According to the lawmaker, the scholarship scheme which commences this first term of September, 2023, is in memory of his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Awka, the State capital.

The lawmaker described his victory as wish of God, stating that it was a remarkable moment in Anambra State as the Tribunal gave its verdict irrespective of the allegations leveled against the labour P,arty candidates who emerged victorious in the election.

Addressing party faithful, ward Chairmen and leaders during a  closed door strategic meeting held at Onitsha North, Hon. Idu, who is called “Omeluma ga achi Ozo, by his admirers, said that he believed in grassroot politics,  adding that everybody is important in politics.

In his vote of thanks,  the labour Party Chairman of Onitsha, comrade Pastor Charles Chidi Okeke, reaffirmed the party’s support for Hon. Idu Emeka.
