The Bridge Head Market Traders have successfully conducted Monday compulsory prayer rally as well as observed weekly sanitation exercise at the market.
Recall that the Anambra State Government through the special adviser to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on Market, Sir,. Everstus Ubah had ordered every trader in Anambra State to begin environmental sanitation exercise in their Market every Monday and open their shops after conducting prayer.
Speaking with newsmen shortly, the President General of Bridgehead Market, Hon. Chinedu Ezekwuike said that he was overwhelmed by the successful Monday Prayer and sanitation exercise which they observed in their Market.
He disclosed that Bridge Head Market is one of the Markets in the state that complies with the State Government order, stating that he was impressed that the Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association ( ASMATA) President General, Chief Humphrey Anuna and his executives witnessed their prayers and environmental sanitation exercise.
” I am so happy and overwhelmed. We did our clean up earlier this morning and also observed the weekly prayers in the presence of ASMATA President General and his team. I am happy and pray that we will continue the same every Monday. I will continue to sensitize to the traders the importance of the prayers and environmental sanitation so that there would be more people to come out by next week and that is my assurance” Said Hon. Ezekwuike.
The Market leader further described Governor Soludo as a workaholic and a great man who he said is doing well for the State, even as he stated that Bridge Head Market has benefited from his numerous roads construction and they will vote for him again for his second tenure.
Equally speaking, one of the Market caretaker committee members, Mr. Idahosa Stephen said that the sanitation and prayer went successfully in their Market, saying that if other markets should continue to observe the Monday Prayer and sanitation, the issue of Monday sit-at-home would be forgotten.
