A pro-Tinubu group, Tinubu/Shettima Southeast Youth Movement, has called on President Bola Tinubu to reconsider the nomination of Chief Uche Nnaji as minister from Enugu State.
The group which campaigned vigorously for Tinubu during the 2023 Presidential Election campaigns, said that it was unfair that after campaigning for Tinubu, someone who could not win his ward in the last election could be rewarded with a ministerial position.
Speaking after a meeting with state coordinators of the group in Abuja on Thursday, the convener of Tinubu/Shettima South East Youth Movement Chief Emeka Anike Ogbuene said that only those who worked for the party should be rewarded.
“We the Tinubu/Shettima South East Youth Movement are calling out for Mr president to be very cautious on the appointment he is making because we want him to know that what happened during the past administration should not happen in this renewed hope time whereby after election some clique in South East will hijack the ministerial appointments.
“We the South East Youth Movement are saying enough is enough. In 2015, we suffered for the former president and after he went to bring in Godfrey Onyeama from abroad to become a minister for a good 8 years without being a politician.
“Now the same cabal brought in Uche Nnaji who did not even win his polling unit here in Enugu to talk more of his local government and he will now be our minister. We are trying to let you know that since 2015, APC has never won any polling unit because they believe in percentage.
“Now we are saying enough is enough. No more monkey dey work baboon dey chop. Now in this last election, the only person who won her ward for APC and polling unit is (AMB) Ginika Tor.
“She is the person who has the interest of the party and has spent a lot on her own. Also someone like Chimaroke Nnamani should be considered for ministerial appointment due to his robust contribution during the campaign.
“Even we, the South East Youth Movement, who campaigned the whole South East for Mr President and Vice president and even here in Abuja with our own money but up till date the PCC have not done anything for us.
“We are calling on Mr President to please remove Uche Nnaji and replace him with Ambassador Ginika Tor or Chimaroke Nnamani. We are telling you to do the other things you did for other zones for the South East because we really worked for you.
“Also you should ignore some South East leaders who have been there since 2015. Please remove them and replace them with fresh minds because they are the cause of the downfall of APC in the South East,” he said.

As far as I’m concerned that woman is scam,Political 419 who never campaigned one day in Enugu and never voted in her ward but gathered around 15 people always appearing in rallies where Tinubu will campaign hoodwinking everyone that she was mobilizing Ndi-Igbo and using the Omaluegwu cult to obtain money from party big wigs with claims of campaigning.
