Maduka University Gets Final Approval To Commence Operation

The founder of Maduka University Ekwegbe-Nsukka, Dr. Sam Maduka Onyishi, has disclosed that his university has gotten the final approval from the National Universities Commission to operate academic activities.

Onyishi in a post on his verified Facebook page, said that the new university situated on Nike-Enugu-Opi-Nsukka road, will be commencing academic activities with the 2023/2024 academic year programmes  in the month of September 2023.

The statement he released on his verified Facebook page reads, “With our final approvals, we shall take off with the following programmes by September 2023.

Maduka University 2023/2024 Academic Year Programmes;

School Of Business And Social sciences: Accounting
Economics
Mass communication
Political science / International relations
Transport management

School Of Computing And Engineering:
Civil Engineering
Computer Engineering
Computer science
Cyber security
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Information Technology
Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering
Soft ware Engineering

School Of Health Sciences:
Physiotherapy
Medical Laboratory Science
Nursing

School Of Law:
Law.

Onyishi, a successful entrepreneur and a transport merchant who owns Peace Mass transit, promised that the management shall keep the public updated with unfolding news on the about the university and its resumption date.

A visit on the university showed that the university was built to match foreign based universities in terms of infrastructure, receptive academic environment, quality teaching and administrative staff among others.

The choice of courses (Law, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Health Sciences etc) the new university is commencing academic programme with is another booster to it as bearing in mind its high demand among intending students.

It is pertinent to note that the university which has proximity with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka will further make it not to lack the hands it needs to succefully take as a baby university to compete with its counterparts across the country and the globe.

Meanwhile the university has to a great extent attracted corresponding developmental activities around its host community as many investors have taken the advantage of the new institution to also commence investment programmes within the environment.

Landed properties around the university community are increasing in cost on daily basis due to high demand from investors and developers.
