Boko Haram Kills Three In Adamawa, Abduct Many Others

 

Three people have been confirmed killed, while many others were abducted by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram at Danna community in the Hong local government area of Adamawa State.

It was gathered that the bandits ransacked the community, before setting every building on sight on fire.

They were said to have invaded the village in the wee hours of Sunday fully armed.

They entered the community on motorbikes, looted food stuffs and went away with scores of people.

The Adamawa State Police command confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroji.

He noted that CP had ordered the immediate arrest and investigation into the matter with a view to ensuring peace and justice.

The police said, “The Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, has strongly condemned the recent attacked of DABNA Community, Dugwaba District by yet to be identified Men in Hong local government area, that resulted to the unfortunate murder of three and loss of Properties.

“Consequently, the CP has ordered the immediate arrest and investigation into the matter with a view to ensuring peace and justice.

“The CP warns that attacks on innocent souls would no longer be tolerated under whatsoever guise, as the command holds the lives of citizens sacrosanct, and such unwarranted attitude would be strictly treated in accordance with extant laws.”

“He equally reiterated the commitment of the Command in the protection of lives and property while stressing that it is vital to work with other sister security agents in protecting the fundamental rights of citizens.

“The police boss appeals for calm as the command is doing everything legally possible to detect and apprehend the suspects,” the statement added.
