Two policemen were on Sunday afternoon shot dead when gunmen attacked a police checkpoint in Enugu metropolis.
Details of the attack were still sketchy as at press time but out source said the attack took place near the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
A viral video making the rounds shows two policemen in uniform lying in pools of their own blood. One lay on the ground while the other lay inside the gutter.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe could not be reached as he did not respond to calls and text messages to his phone.
