LP candidate defeats incumbent PDP Reps member Offor Chukwuegbo

Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Chima Atu has defeating serving House of Representatives member and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Offor Chukwuegbo.

Atu was declared winner of the Enugu North/Enugu South Federal Constituency at the state INEC collation centre Enugu on Monday.

INEC Returning Officer, Dr. Evelyn Ezepue announced that the Labour Party candidate secured a total of  65,247 to defeat his opponents.

Atu was therefore returned elected after satisfying all the requirements of the law.

Details of the results showed that Offor Chukwuegbo polled a total of  7,617 while Nnonso Nnamani scored a total of  9,215. The APC candidate, Juliet Egbo scored 2,394 votes.

Atu is a native of Ndiaga Ugwuaji in  Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
